Cox Business hooks up college football fans in New Orleans

Cox Business has got college football fans' backs during Monday night's BCS Championship Game between LSU and Alabama at the Superdome in New Orleans.

With New Orleans being a Cox territory, Cox Business is providing voice, video and data services in the Superdome, and at more than 150 hotels and 200 bars and restaurants in the Big Easy, which means whenever a fan sees a screen in those locations during the game, they'll be viewing Cox's channel lineup.

Cox is also providing Internet access to ESPN to support all of its events leading up to the big game, including the live telecast from the set of "College GameDay."

College GameDay producers will use the dedicated Cox Internet connection at the Superdome to access player stats and team facts and pull electronic billboards for on-air use from their Bristol, Conn., headquarters server.

"Our network supports the bandwidth requirements of sports executives and press at the stadium, and our high-definition video services help share the excitement of this game with millions of viewers."

In addition to the national title game, Cox Business provided communications services for bowl stadiums in its Las Vegas and San Diego markets this season.
