Comcast hires Valentin as VP of talent acquisition
Raul Valentin has joined Comcast Cable as its vice president of talent acquisition.
Valentin, who started his new job on Monday, reports to Grace Killelea, senior vice president of talent. He's responsible for enterprise-wide talent acquisition operations and strategy for the cable division, and Comcast said he leads in all matters regarding talent planning, recruitment, assessment, interviewing, on-boarding and retention.
Additionally, he's also in charge of driving best hiring practices throughout the cable organization.
"Raul brings a perfect blend of strategic vision and practical experience to this pivotal role within the Talent Acquisition Center of Expertise, which will involve developing and executing our short-term and long-term strategy," Killelea said. "His extensive recruitment experience and strong relationship skills will be invaluable as we work to create a best-in-class talent acquisition operation at Comcast."
Valentin came to Comcast with 25 years of experience in human resources. Prior to Comcast, Valentin worked at Covance, a biopharmaceutical development services company based in Princeton, N.J., where he was vice president of global recruitment and rewards. Before joining Covance in 1996, he held HR and recruitment positions with Frito-Lay and R. H. Macy and Co.
