As part of a new agreement between the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and Internet Cable Corporation, a provider of cable infrastructure services, broadband training solutions, and wireless integration services, Internet Cable will provide various broadband training services to the SCTE's members.

Charter tries new tack in Miami

Never mind the tropical breezes. Miami Beach, Fla. Charter subscribers will be inside trying out their new i-TV digital services from Wink Communications. According to Charter, which is the fourth largest MSO with more than six million subs, the company is the first in South Florida to offer i-TV in conjunction with Wink.

WorldGate subscribers will soon have better online shopping opportunities. Commerce.TV 's data processing network, CoreTVnet, will contribute its t-commerce features to WorldGate subs using advanced digital set-top boxes. VeriSign to safeguard cable modem industry

The Root Certificate Authority establishes the hierarchy to use digital certificates securing cable modems across the industry.
