Following its acquisition of NBCUniversal, Comcast has moved to consolidate responsibility for corporate procurement under a single executive.
The company has promoted Peter Kiriacoulacos to executive vice president of procurement for Comcast Cable, an operation he had been leading as a senior vice president; he has been granted new responsibility for managing procurement at NBCUniversal, as well.
At the studio, he now has the title of senior vice president. Marcia Haynes, who had been managing procurement at NBCUniversal, will continue to do so, only now she will report to Kiriacoulacos.
As the chief procurement officer of Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal, Kiriacoulacos will be responsible for the combined procurement function and will lead material and enterprise-wide capital- and operating expense-based vendor negotiations, including overseeing supplier diversity initiatives, among many other areas, the company said.
Prior to joining Comcast nearly five years ago, Kiriacoulacos served as vice president of global procurement at Liberty Global.
