Amino Communications has promoted Kevin Lingley to the new role of chief technologist.
Lingley, for the last two years, has been Amino's head of OTT strategy, helping to devise the company's Amino Freedom OTT platform and product range and developing the company's relationship with Intel.
Lingley began his career with Acorn before moving to NTL, where he managed that company's interactive games channel. He subsequently joined Sony to work on its GoInteractTV platform. For several years, he worked on developing interactive TV channels, and as head of technology at independent television production company Fluorescent Media, he helped promote its Phoenix technology platform.
Amino CEO Andrew Burke said: "This role will be critical in helping us shape, develop and articulate our future technology vision. Kevin brings in-depth technical knowledge, extensive experience from the broadcast entertainment industry and a real passion for driving innovation, and we look forward to him making a major contribution to Amino."
