The Broadway Channel debuts on TWC's NYC VOD
Starting yesterday, The Broadway Channel's programming became available on Time Warner Cable's on-demand service across its New York City metropolitan footprint.
Local on-demand from Time Warner Cable is available to more than 1.2 million customers in four New York City boroughs (Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and western Brooklyn), Mt. Vernon and Hudson Valley (Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties and parts of Dutchess, Greene and Delaware counties), as well as in Bergen and Hudson counties in New Jersey.
The programming features Broadway previews and Broadway on tour content and is available as long-form episodes, as well as short-form theatrical trailers with star interviews. Additional features include Tony Awards coverage, Broadway opening nights, star interviews and "What's Hot on Broadway," hosted by Broadway Channel's Maribel Aber.
The Broadway Channel has a monthly reach of more than 35 million households.
"We believe theater-loving New Yorkers will seek out and enjoy Broadway Channel's unique, local content through the convenience of our on-demand platform," said Barbara Kelly, regional vice president of programming for Time Warner Cable in NYC. "This is just another way Time Warner Cable continues to provide customers with more value for their digital cable subscriptions. Our on-demand platform contains programming that appeals to all audiences and allows them to watch content on their own schedule, making the entertainment experience simple and easy."
