SCTE seeks paper proposals for leadership conference
The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers announced today that it has sounded the call for papers for its SCTE Leadership Conference 2012.
The SCTE event is slated for April 17-19 in Henderson, Nev. The new annual SCTE Leadership Conference combines two former SCTE annual events – the Chapter Leadership Conference (CLC) and the Conference on Broadband Learning & Development (CBL&D) – into three days that will focus on learning and development, leadership strategies, and chapter development.
The deadline to submit abstracts is Oct. 31.
The SCTE said the conference was designed to impart and sharpen a variety of training and leadership skills for attendees, such as facilitation, presentation, strategic planning, project management, quality management, supervisor development, mentoring and chapter development.
Trainers, speakers, supervisors, managers, leaders and chapter board members will come away with a greater understanding of how to be more effective in these important areas.
Preferred topics for the event include:

- Measuring success and keeping current in learning and development
- Diversity and inclusion in cable
- Workforce professional development
