Antietam Cable is paving the way for the eventual introduction of advanced services by installing uDTAs from Evolution Digital, which will help the operator reclaim the bandwidth necessary to support the new services.

Specifically, Antietam Cable is planning on adding more HD channels.

"Evolution's uDTA provides an inexpensive, immediate solution to go digital, reclaim bandwidth and launch advances services," explains Brian Lynch, president of Antietam. "It is our goal at Antietam to provide the fastest HSD, most HD channels and crystal-clear digital phone. Reclaiming bandwidth allows us to continue to meet and exceed the subscriber needs."

Antietam Cable is also using Evolution's customization and factory-to-home fulfillment programs. This allows operators to use their own branding on the packaging and material that is delivered to the subscriber's home. These value-added programs help reduce the confusion for subscribers during the digital conversion process, in essence reducing the cable operator's labor costs, overhead and allocated resources needed.
