SCTE sets 2nd Tuck Executive Leadership dates
The second round of the Tuck Executive Leadership program, sponsored by the SCTE and Dartmouth College, will be held April 30-May 5, 2012.
The SCTE's board – essentially the major MSOs – wants the SCTE to provide additional, relevant professional development opportunities, and one response was the development of the leadership classes at Dartmouth.
"Based on feedback from MSO attendees and my own observation, the SCTE-Tuck curriculum has great value as a standalone course, or as a complement to our own internal program," said Martha Soehren, senior vice president and chief learning officer at Comcast Cable. "I was particularly impressed with how the case studies and discussions transcended technology and created an atmosphere of engagement that involved and benefitted executives from all sectors of our business."
"From the very positive feedback we've received since our first SCTE-Tuck class was completed, it's clear that we've only scratched the surface of the potential value of this program to the industry," said Mark Dzuban, president and CEO of the SCTE, during The Cable Show. "In the year ahead, we will be working with Tuck and the industry to continue to refine the curriculum for 2012, with the goal of identifying subject matter that can increase the value to students, cable system operators, vendors and programmers."
