Comcast Spotlight is using the Ensequence iTV Manager Service Provider Edition to enable the ongoing rollout of EBIF-enabled local interactive TV advertising.

The Ensequence iTV Manager Service Provider Edition enables interactive advertising to scale in local ad sales operational environments. The tools included cover almost the entire process, from template creation and re-versioning to scheduling and playout.

Application graphics, behavior, layouts and messaging can be quickly and easily customized based on each advertiser's requirements and response goals, without the need to recertify the application. Each application can be distinctly branded, reflecting an advertiser's unique branding and messaging.

"We've had great success rolling out iTV advertising over the past two years. With hundreds of campaigns and more than 1.5 million interactions so far, it's been a hit with both clients and customers," said Comcast Spotlight's senior vice president of operations and strategic planning Steve Feingold.

"The flexibility and ease in scaling that the Ensequence solution offers will be an important part of the next phase of our interactive advertising rollout, and we're looking forward to working with the Ensequence team," Feingold continued.

Separately, Ensequence hired Paul Jelinek as senior vice president of global business operations. While Ensequence has its largest office in Portland, Ore., Jelinek will be based in the company's New York headquarters, reporting to Ensequence CEO and president Peter Low.

Jelinek was most recently senior vice president for A&E Television Networks (AETN), overseeing all of the company's digital media operations, including online, mobile and interactive television. Previously, Jelinek served as vice president of digital media products at MTV Networks in the Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group. Prior to MTVN, Jelinek worked in business development and operations for Discovery Networks, both in digital and internationally.
