Time Warner Cable promotes Schonewolf to area VP of New England

Time Warner Cable announced yesterday that Paul Schonewolf, a 24-year veteran of the cable TV industry, was promoted to area vice president with responsibility for all of the cable operator's business operations in New England.

Paul SchonewolfAs area vice president for New England, Schonewolf will be responsible for approximately 1,000 employees serving more than 350,000 customers and more than 16,000 miles of cable plant in more than 300 communities in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Prior to his promotion, Schonewolf was vice president for technical operations in New England. He began his cable career in 1987 and joined Time Warner Cable in 1994 as general manager in Keene and Berlin, N.H. He was vice president for operations in Columbus, Ohio, before returning to New England in 2008 to lead technical operations.

"It is with great pleasure that we promote Paul to be our New England leader," said Mike Munley, president of residential services for Time Warner Cable's East Region. "Paul has more than two decades in the cable industry and has established himself as an exceptional leader with a successful track record of innovation and integrating new technologies into our customers' lives."

Schonewolf replaced Keith Burkley, who was promoted last fall to lead Time Warner Cable's home security monitoring product line.

"It's a real honor for me to lead Time Warner Cable New England," Schonewolf said. "We have been a New England cable provider for more than 30 years, and our operation here has long been at the forefront of technological innovation in the industry. We were the fourth Time Warner Cable system to launch Road Runner high-speed Internet back in 1997, the first Time Warner Cable system to launch digital phone in 2003, and the first Time Warner Cable system nationally to launch business class services.

"The New England team has an outstanding history of being a catalyst for successful launches of new products and technology. This is a testament to the strength of our employees and demonstrative of the quality and care they provide here in New England."
