The Cable Center hires Cocoros, promotes Stamm
The Cable Center has named Lela Cocoros as its vice president of corporate and constituent relations, and it promoted Jennifer Stamm from marketing manager to marketing director.
Cocoros was a consultant to The Cable Center over the past five years through her public relations business October Strategies. Prior to co-founding October Strategies in 2000, she held several executive positions at Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI), including director of its corporate communications. She also worked for NBC and Cablevision's Advertising Bureau in New York.
With her new job, Cocoros is responsible for planning and executing strategies for support of The Cable Center and its programs; expanding its network of key constituents, both inside and outside the cable industry; and creating opportunities for increased involvement and participation.
Cocoros is a member of the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC), Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
She is a former board chair of Cable Positive and has served on numerous other industry committees. She is an alumna of the charter class of WICT's Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (BMLI), a recipient of the National Cable Telecommunication Association's (NCTA) Vanguard Award for Young Leadership and a member of the Cable Pioneers.
As marketing director, Stamm is now responsible for planning, developing and directing branding and marketing communications programs for The Cable Center. She joined The Cable Center in 2007 as marketing manager, from D4 Creative Group, a cable-focused advertising agency in Philadelphia, where she was an account manager.
Stamm serves on the board of the CTAM Rocky Mountain Chapter and was among those honored when CTAM Rocky Mountains was given the Chapter Innovator award in 2008 and 2010 and the Chapter Educator award in 2009, from CTAM National. Stamm is a member of WICT, NAMIC and ACA.
