Binder to exit as SVP of Comcast's Mile High Region
Scott Binder is ending his six-year run as the head of Comcast's Mile High Region, which includes Colorado and New Mexico.
According to a story in The Denver Post, Binder, 49, is resigning from his position as senior vice president to pursue other interests. Over a 12-year career at Comcast, Binder held various positions before being named senior vice president six years ago.
Binder oversees sales, technical operations, customer service and local marketing in the Mile High Region, which includes about 3,500 Comcast employees.
The Post article didn't say when Binder's last day at Comcast would be, but his successor is expected to be named over the coming weeks, and Binder is slated to help with the transition.
In 2007, Binder was named "Fittest CEO in the World" after winning an Ironman competition in Hawaii.
