NCTC, Crown Media ink new retransmission agreement
The National Cable Television Cooperative and Crown Media, the latter of which owns and operates Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel, have signed a multi-year renewal of their distribution agreement.
With the new deal in place, NCTC's 1,000 member companies will have continued access to Crown Media's programming.
"NCTC is pleased to offer our members and their subscribers this agreement that provides for continued carriage of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel," said Frank Hughes, senior vice president of programming at NCTC.
Financial terms, and the length of the new deal, weren't available.
Earlier this year, Crown Media butted heads with AT&T during negotiations for a new distribution agreement, which led to AT&T removing the Hallmark channels from its lineup.
