Cogeco schedules interactive ad trial
Cogeco Cable has scheduled an interactive advertising trial for early in 2011.
The trial will be with broadcaster CHCH, a channel that Cogeco distributes in the Golden Horseshoe – an area on the western shore of Lake Ontario that includes Toronto.
The test will be enabled by equipment provided by Invidi Technologies.
The MSO will deploy Invidi's Advatar addressable, targeted advertising system. The system enables advertisers to deliver tailored messaging to individual households during a commercial break.
This Advatar system uses public domain demographic information to identify consumer needs and interests and match commercials to that demographic information.
Capital Networks will be managing the ad insertion operation related to the Advatar platform.
