Shaw Communications announced this morning that it has 1 million customers for its Shaw Home Phone service that first launched five years ago.
"Reaching a million customers in only five years is a remarkable achievement," said Brad Shaw, executive vice president of Shaw Communications. "We thank our customers for choosing Shaw, and we will continue to work hard every day to provide them with an exceptional customer experience. The million customer milestone is a testament to that commitment."
The Canadian cable operator cited its competitive long-distance rates within Canada, to the U.S. and to international destinations such as China and India, with no monthly long-distance administration fees, as a reason for the service's growth.
