Orb Networks has launched yet another over-the-top box, this one drawing any online video directly to the TV, with the process controlled by almost any smartphone.

Orb TV is priced at $99 and allows viewers to transfer content from Hulu, ESPN3, Comedy Central, Netflix, etc., to their TVs. The box – actually the approximate size and shape of a hockey puck – is plugged into the TV. Users download software to their PCs or Macs to set up streaming to the Orb TV device.

The controller for the application is a smartphone or tablet (iPhone, Android, iPad, iPod Touch) equipped with a downloadable app for the purpose.

Orb TV also makes it easy to stream home videos, YouTube and photos to the TV, the company said.
