Fox stays on as Convergys' CEO
CINCINNATI (AP) – Convergys Corp. says Jeff Fox will stay on as CEO of the Cincinnati-based global provider of business services outsourcing.
Convergys said Monday it has a new contract with Fox to continue as president and CEO. Other details weren't disclosed immediately.
Fox had taken those positions on a one-year basis in February, replacing David Dougherty after Convergys' growth stalled. One of Fox's first moves was selling Convergys' human resources business to a British company, NorthgateArinso, for $100 million.
Convergys has some 65,000 employees in 68 locations around the world. It offers call-center, billing, and other information and customer relations services. Revenue in 2009 totaled $2.83 billion.
Fox is a former chief operating officer of wireless provider Alltel Corp. and had worked at Stephens Inc. and Merrill Lynch.
