TWC adds 19 HD channels in Rochester; Buffalo gets 23

Time Warner Cable has added 23 HD channels to its Buffalo TV lineup, while viewers in Rochester have 19 more HD choices.

With the recent additions, the total number of HD channels in both New York systems has reached 128.

"Time Warner Cable continues to add HD channels to provide our customers with popular programming that they value," said Terence Rafferty, Time Warner Cable's regional vice president of operations for upstate N.Y. "This month, our customers were able to start watching a variety of their favorite programs in HD on local channels like YNN HD and TWC SportsNet HD, as well as many well-known national and international networks."

Channels added to the Rochester lineup were: YNN Rochester HD, TWCSN HD, The Hub HD, EWTN HD, HBO Latino HD, Women's Max HD, Nickelodeon HD, Style HD, Hallmark HD, Cooking Channel HD, DIY HD, MTV HD, Comedy Central HD, CMT HD, VH1 HD, BBC America HD, National Geographic Wild HD, Spike HD and History Channel International HD.

Channels added to the Buffalo lineup were: YNN HD, TWCS HD, Encore HD, The Hub HD, EWTN HD, Women's Max HD, 5 Star Max HD, Outer Max HD, More Max HD, @ Max HD, BBC America HD, History Channel International HD, Cooking Channel HD, DIY HD, Style HD, National Geographic Wild HD, MTV HD, Comedy Central HD, Nickelodeon HD, Spike HD, CMT HD, Hallmark HD and VH1 HD.

Time Warner Cable, which counts Verizon among its competitors in New York, said it would add more HD channels in the coming months.
