RGB hires Sassoli to boost global IP video sales

RGB Networks announced this morning that it has hired Simone Sassoli as its vice president of international.
Sassoli will be in charge of RGB’s IP video-related sales throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
"As video service providers around the world begin their trials and deployments of multi-screen services, we are experiencing significant interest in our integrated three-screen transcoding and advertising solution. Our Video Multiprocessing Gateway is already the product of choice with several strategic operators, and as interest and excitement continues to grow, we need someone with Simone's experience and relationships to capitalize on our momentum and leadership position in this area to significantly expand our market share in Europe and Asia," said Jef Graham, CEO of RGB Networks.
Prior to joining Sunnyvale, Calif.-based RGB, Sassoli was vice president of in-home product sales with SeaChange International. He joined SeaChange in 1999 as director of broadband networks for EMEA, and through the years held a variety of positions in sales, strategy and business unit management with the company.
Before SeaChange, Sassoli spent five years at General Instrument, where he held positions in engineering and marketing.
