Aurora Networks has named former investment banker Scott Weinstein as its vice president of new business.
The company said that Weinstein, who has more than 15 years of investment banking and mergers and acquisitions experience, would help it identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions.
"As we continue to support cable operators with their network evolution, we are in a prime position to evolve our business, as well. Scott will be instrumental in finding ways we can grow our company to ensure we meet the current and future needs of our cable operator customers,"said Guy Sucharczuk, chairman, president and CEO of Aurora. "Scott will help Aurora Networks take the next big steps in our company development."
Prior to joining Aurora, Weinstein was a managing director in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group at Piper Jaffray & Co. Before Piper Jaffray, he worked at Thomas Weisel Partners and Wessels, Arnold & Henderson.
