Time Warner Cable subscribers in the San Diego and Desert Cities markets can now program their DVRs remotely via any Internet-connected computer or browser-enabled mobile device.

The service, which is called Remote DVR Manager, is available for free to Time Warner Cable's basic digital subscribers.

Some of Remote DVR Manager's features include:

• Search by title, person, keyword, genre or channel rating to find programming
• Use all recording options available
• View scheduled recordings
• Schedule single episode or series recordings
• Access real-time record confirmation
• Cancel or modify a scheduled recording
• Rename DVRs, such as "family room" or "bedroom," so they are easily identified when they are being accessed remotely.
