The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is seeking proposals for technical sessions for its Canadian Summit 2011, set for March 8–9 in Toronto.

Specific to the Canadian cable telecommunications market, the focus of the annual SCTE Canadian Summit is to study the impact of integrating new technologies into existing cable infrastructures, the organization said.

SCTE desires that all sessions be interactive where possible, and include case studies as application examples. The recommended areas of focus are

• IP Video Migration and Architecture
• Business Services
• Residential Broadband and Networking Update
• Status of High-Resolution Video

The deadline for proposals is Friday, Oct. 8, 2010. Submissions can be made on the SCTE web site.
