Verizon is once again teaming up with Time Warner Inc. to increase its slate of online video content for its FiOS TV customers.
In July, two Time Warner channels – Turner's TNT and TBS – launched on the telco's FiOS TV Online service. Now, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network and truTV will be available.
Like TNT and TBS, these new channels will feature a selection of programming available on FiOS TV Online within 24 hours after an episode airs on live television, Verizon said.
Earlier this week, Adult Swim became available on FiOS TV Online, and within the next month, Cartoon Network and truTV will be added.
FiOS customers who subscribe to both FiOS TV and FiOS Internet can watch the programs on their PCs or laptops using a broadband connection – either at Verizon's portal or at Time Warner-dedicated websites. Time Warner Cable launched its TV Everywhere service on the Turner Web portals, while Comcast chose to use its Fancast website for its Xfinity service that launched in December.
According to the companies, there are plans in the works to add a mobile play, as well, in the future.
Earlier this month, Charter Communications announced that it was testing the waters with a nationwide trial of its TV Everywhere service. Content-wise, the cable operator is working with TNT and TBS, as well as Style, E!, G4 and The Weather Channel.
DirecTV is currently in trials with Turner for TBS.com and TNT.com content.
