Time Warner Cable puts techs on the clock

Under a new program, Time Warner Cable technicians in Albany will arrive within a 10-minute window of time to work on subscribers' cable and Internet services.

According to a story in The Saratogian, the program, which is called "Tech on the 10s," is only available on weekdays. Customers call ahead to sign up for their time slots, and if the technicians don't arrive within the 10 minutes of the slot they're scheduled for, Time Warner Cable gives them $20.

Tech on the 10s supplements the two-hour time slots that technicians are required to follow.
