• Time Warner Cable promotes Howell

Time Warner Cable recently announced that Roni Howell was promoted to the position of director of employee relations for Time Warner Cable in western New York.

With her promotion, Howell, who previously served in Buffalo as senior manager of human resources, will now oversee the human resources department for Time Warner Cable throughout all of western New York.

"Roni is an expert in the field of human resources, and her active leadership has been invaluable to our local HR team and the employees they serve," said Terence Rafferty, area vice president of operations for Time Warner Cable WNY. "We're truly fortunate to have her continued direction and representation within the region."

Before joining Time Warner Cable, Howell worked for Adelphia and Alaska Communications Systems.

• WICT promotes Sisson

Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) has announced the promotion of Walter Sisson to senior vice president of finance and administration.

Sisson previously served as WICT's vice president of finance and administration and has been with WICT since October 2006. Sisson's expanded role will include establishing company-wide financial and administrative objectives, portfolio policies and administrative best practices.

"Since joining WICT four years ago, Walt has consistently demonstrated his ability to meet goals and grow his focus areas," said Maria Brennan, president and CEO of WICT. "We are proud to expand his role to ensure WICT continues to advance its mission."
