Mediacom, the nation’s seventh-largest cable operator, has integrated Web-based content and advertising management technologies from Clearleap.
With Clearleap’s platform in place, Mediacom will be able to manage and deploy advertising assets in VOD and linear channels, which will give its advertisers better reach and faster time to market, while allowing Mediacom to garner additional revenues from its VOD offerings.
Clearleap said the integration of the Web-based technologies also allowed Mediacom to manage and program content for VOD and linear channels, expanding its abilities to quickly deliver more local and special interest programming to subscribers across the more than 1,400 communities in its network.
Mediacom will also gain the ability to integrate program offerings from Clearleap’s Content Marketplace, a platform of licensed content containing national programming, Web and special interest content in pre-selected, self-populating channels.
“Mediacom is a great case study on how fast and efficiently a cable operator can integrate Web technologies to cater to the interests of both subscribers and local advertisers in both linear and VOD environments,” said Clearleap CEO Braxton Jarratt.
At the start of the month, Clearleap and Arris announced they had integrated their respective technologies in order to help cable operators monetize their video-on-demand offerings.
