Concurrent to play expanded role at Mediacom

Mediacom Communications has contracted with Concurrent for the vendor’s Media Data and Advertising Solutions (MDAS), which will support the operator’s marketing, advertising sales, engineering and operations.

Concurrent will also upgrade and manage Mediacom’s VOD data infrastructure with a fully hosted platform and a comprehensive portfolio of data logistics and managed services, Concurrent said.

The new agreement provides Mediacom a turnkey media data service based on Concurrent’s latest VOD Operational Reporting Solutions. Concurrent will support data collection, validation, warehousing and distribution to Mediacom’s various data stakeholders.

The MDAS system collects and correlates data from online, television, DVR, interactive and on-demand video consumption. The system will be the foundation for an end-to-end cross services data solution, Concurrent said, providing Mediacom the capability to collect and aggregate data from VOD, linear and interactivity across their 1.3 million subscriber footprint.

“Concurrent has played a valuable role in our success during the past six years,” said John Woods, Mediacom’s vice president of advanced consumer services. “Through their media data collection and management tools, we’ve been able to deliver a high-quality experience to our customers and provide significant value to our content providers.”
