Jones/NCTI has introduced a new Associate of Applied Science in Broadband Technology and Communication degree for broadband and telecommunications professionals.
The degree program, provided through Jones/NCTI’s partnership with Arapahoe Community College in the Denver area, is designed to provide both technical expertise and general business knowledge.
The program has three tracks: Broadband Technology, Customer Care and Telecommunications. Complete general education courses, major courses and restricted electives total a minimum of 60 credit hours.
The Jones/NCTI College Program is a distance-learning, accredited higher education program designed specifically for the broadband, cable and telecom industry. The program allows individuals to apply their associate degree toward bachelor’s and master’s degrees through Jones/NCTI’s sister school, Jones International University (JIU), which in 1998 was the first fully online university to achieve accreditation. Students who complete the AAS degree will be accepted as juniors at JIU should they choose to continue their studies.
“Jones/NCTI is excited to provide broadband and telecommunications industry professionals easy access to advanced skills and a college degree in their area of expertise,” said Robyn McVicker, president of Jones/NCTI. “With online and independent study options, busy individuals can work full-time while completing the new Associate of Applied Science degree and secure additional opportunities for their professional growth.”
