Cox Communications recently launched its Caller ID on TV service to several new markets in Louisiana.
According to the Weekly Citizen, the service is now available in the six parish Acadiana region and the seven parish Baton Rouge market.
There’s no additional charge for the Caller ID on TV service, which Cox calls “TV Caller ID,” but customers must subscribe to Cox’s digital telephone with Caller ID and digital cable services. Caller ID on TV, which was first launched by Cox in Oklahoma City in 2008, also made its debut in New Orleans late last year.
Cox Communications, the nation’s third-largest MSO, announced on Friday that it had donated $5,000 to the Chulu Vista Veterans Home Support Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of elderly disabled veterans.
The foundation is currently seeking funding to build a rehabilitation garden at its Chula Vista, Calif., facility, which includes residents who are World War II veterans that fought in the Pacific.
The donation was made during a special screening of HBO’s new miniseries “The Pacific” aboard the USS Midway.
