• Technicolor delivers 250,000 wireless modems to ONO
By Mike Robuck
Technicolor, formerly known as Thomson, said today that it has delivered 250,000 wireless cable modems to Spanish cable operator ONO.
ONO, which provides triple-play services to more than 1.8 million direct access customers, is using Technicolor’s TCW710 wireless cable gateway.
“The market for home gateway products is fiercely competitive,” said Georges Laplanche, senior vice president of Technicolor’s Connect Division. “To achieve the successful relationship we have with ONO, we have delivered a very large number of units over an extended period, and we have shown our commitment to the market, bringing innovation to our products to meet the growing expectations of the consumer.”
