Redpath started his new job on Monday and reports to Canoe Ventures CEO David Verklin.

“We’re pleased that John is joining Canoe’s executive team,” Verklin said. “John brings a wealth of experience and relationships that are critical to Canoe as we introduce new products, drive collaboration and roll out innovative technologies into the television ecosystem.”

Redpath came to Canoe Ventures from the United States Golf Association, where he was chief legal officer. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and general counsel of Time Inc. From 1978 to 2002, Redpath held a variety of legal positions at Home Box Office, including executive vice president and general counsel.
