• TWC promotes Clear in Dallas
By Brian Santo
Hard on the heels of Clearwire getting its WiMAX network in Texas up and running, Time Warner Cable has launched Road Runner Mobile in Dallas. The service starts at $44.99 per month for Time Warner Cable customers.
North Texas customers using the Time Warner Cable 4G Mobile Network can expect Internet speeds of up to 6 Mbps, which the company said is comparable to its residential Road Runner High-Speed Online cable speeds.
The company is heavily promoting the introduction. On Dec. 9, Time Warner Cable will host an event in Dallas at the House of Blues featuring appearances by Indy race car driver Danica Patrick and an Eagles tribute band, local band The King Bucks.
TWC said it will launch Road Runner Mobile in San Antonio and Austin, Texas, in early 2010.
