Kevin Wilkes has signed on as national sales director for edge QAM vendor LiquidxStream.

Prior to his new job, Wilkes was regional director of sales for BigBand Networks, which included working with BigBand customer Time Warner Cable.

Wilkes has contributed to several successful start-up companies in addition to positions with cable operators, as well as sales and operations positions with Arris.

His past experience includes leadership roles at Excite@Home, Worldbridge Networks, Integration Technologies and CMTS vendor River Delta Networks.

Wilkes started his cable career with cable operators Intermedia Partners and Continental Cable.

LiquidxStream will be showing its LxS-3616 edge QAM at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo next week in Denver at booth #5059.
