Hitachi picks AMT as U.S. partner for RFoG platform

Fiber-to-the-premises vendor Hitachi Communications Technologies America has selected Advanced Media Technologies (AMT) as its stocking distributor in the United States for its RF over glass product line.

Under the terms of the deal, AMT will support cable TV and other communications network operators with Hitachi’s Node+Zero RFoG platform to help operators deliver triple-play services over fiber.

“Hitachi is pleased to have AMT as a channel partner,” said Rick Schiavinato, Hitachi’s vice president of sales and marketing. “AMT is well known as a top-tier supplier to cable television network operators and for providing outstanding customer service. They will be a tremendous asset as we expand the market for our Node+Zero solution.”

Financial terms of the agreement weren’t available.
