AT&T and RCN recently announced that they are carrying NFL Network’s NFL RedZone channel, which coincided with the opening slate of NFL regular-season games yesterday.
RCN also said that it had renewed a long-term agreement with the NFL Network.
AT&T and RCN are part of a growing list of video providers to offer NFL RedZone; previous announcements include Verizon, Dish Network and Comcast. NFL Network was able to offer RedZone to other video providers after it struck a new deal with DirecTV that runs through 2014.
NFL RedZone offers a look at the football action that takes place on Sunday afternoons, delivering the touchdowns and highlights live and in high-definition. For example, when a team goes inside its opponent's 20-yard line, fans see the important plays as they happen. The channel keeps fans up to date in real time by switching from game to game with live look-ins and highlights.
At a cost of $49.99 for the season, RCN subscribers in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Chicago can watch the NFL RedZone in HD on channel 684 and channel 360 (standard). The channel will also air on channel 200 (HD) and channel 148 (standard) in Lehigh Valley, Pa.

And, with the addition of the NFL RedZone to our sports programming, our subscribers won't miss a minute of the most exciting, live football action."
AT&T said the service is located on channel 1629 as part of its U-verse HD Premium Tier, which is available to U-verse HD subscribers for an additional $5 per month.
