SeaChange to resell RGB ad-insertion gear

RGB Networks has arranged to have SeaChange International resell its digital ad insertion products, its Broadcast Network Processor and its Modular Video Processor.

Together with its SeaChange Spot automated advertising system, SeaChange will be able to provide turnkey ad-insertion solutions supporting MPEG-2 and MPEG-4/H.264, the companies said.

“With many small- and mid-size service providers setting up local advertising operations, SeaChange can now offer a complete, integrated digital ad-insertion system that can scale in concert with their business,” said Yvette Kanouff, chief strategy officer at SeaChange. “Our partnership with RGB Networks gives operators a single-source solution to begin generating new ad revenue streams and to support existing ad operations that are increasing capacity or transitioning from analog to digital insertion.”

Together, RGB and SeaChange’s products address several key application areas:

  • Migration from analog ad insertion to digital ad insertion
  • Seamless MPEG-4/H.264 and MPEG-2 ad insertion
  • High-density digital overlays for advanced advertising and interactive TV
