Incognito Software said its provisioning offerings are now interoperable with Teknovus’ EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) platform.

Teknovus is a provider of EPON chips for the development of triple-play services in FTTx broadband access networks. Incognito said its Broadband Command Center has now been proven to work within an EPON framework, opening up new avenues for cable operators that are looking to deploy their devices over FTTx access networks.

“Incognito’s Broadband Command Center’s ability to provision devices over FTTx access networks empowers cable operators to further improve services and increase revenues,” said Chris Busch, vice president of broadband technologies for Incognito Software. “FTTx technology addresses dedicated subscriber bandwidth demands, converged IP services deployments, and subscriber density challenges in the access network. Ensuring existing BCC device provisioning meets these requirements is important for our customers.”

The two companies are demonstrating their combined platform at the CableLabs Summer Conference in Keystone, Colo.

Last week, Incognito announced its Broadband Command Center 5.5 has support in place for DOCSIS 3.0 networks.
