• AOL brings in TWC exec as new CFO
By The Associated Press
NEW YORK (AP) – Getting ready for a planned spin-off from Time Warner Inc., AOL named a new chief financial officer Thursday, choosing a Time Warner Cable Inc. executive who helped with the cable operator's own transition to a stand-alone company.
Arthur Minson, who has been serving as Time Warner Cable's executive vice president and deputy CFO, will take over the post at AOL Sept. 8, the company said. He will also hold the title of executive vice president in his new role. He replaces Nisha Kumar, who held the job for two years before leaving the company earlier this summer.
Before moving to Time Warner Cable, Minson headed AOL's corporate finance and development operations.
"We're delighted to have Artie back at AOL as we continue our transition to an independent public company," CEO Tim Armstrong said.
