• Comcast launches HD channels in parts of N.J., Philly

Comcast has new high-definition programming choices for customers in its Trenton and Lambertville systems in New Jersey and parts of the city of Philadelphia.
Speed HD, FX HD and Fox News Channel HD have launched on Comcast’s channel lineup across these systems.
These latest additions join Comcast’s lineup of HD programming, which currently delivers more than 1,000 HD choices.
• WeFi closes 2nd round of funding

WeFi Inc. – which operates a global, open Wi-Fi network – has secured an undisclosed amount of second-round funding.
The funding round was led by venture capital firms Lightspeed Venture Partners and Pitango Venture Capital and will support WeFi’s business and financial needs – it’s being allocated toward expanding development, marketing efforts and strengthening strategic business partnerships.

These funds will support the company’s growth over the next couple of years.”
