Time Warner Cable launches Start Over in Raleigh
Time Warner Cable’s Start Over service is up and running in its Raleigh, N.C., footprint after launching this week.
The service lets subscribers re-start some shows by pressing “select” on their remote controls. The Start Over offering in Raleigh, which is part of Time Warner Cable’s Carolina Region, currently includes programming from 10 networks and is being offered for free to the company’s cable digital customers.
Time Warner Cable said the list of networks would continue to expand in the coming months, with a goal of 50 by the end of the year. For the initial launch, Start Over is available on the following networks: Fox Movie Channel, Fine Living, Hallmark, National Geographic, Noggin, Showtime, Boomerang, Tru TV, Biography and TMC East.
“Start Over delivers to our digital cable subscribers a new level of control over their television and makes it even easier to watch what they want when they want without any pre-planning,” said Time Warner Cable vice president and general manager for Raleigh Chris Whitaker.
Time Warner Cable first launched Start Over in Columbia, S.C., in 2005, and the operator has since rolled it out in a number of areas, including Charlotte, Wilmington and Greensboro, N.C.; Rochester, N.Y.; San Antonio, Texas; and Hawaii. Time Warner Cable said the service would be offered in additional markets this year.
Time Warner Cable’s Carolina Region provides triple-play services to more than 2 million customers in 442 cities and towns in North Carolina and South Carolina.
