TellyTopia passes 50,000 mark for Internet videos
Six months into its deal with Tubemogul, TellyTopia’s i2TV platform has enabled 50,000 Internet videos to cable and IPTV service providers.
With TellyTopia’s service, video producers, which now number 10,000, can upload their content in high resolution to TellyTopia’s Web site. TellyTopia filters the content prior to delivering it to cable or IPTV providers where it can be served up online, through video-on-demand or through a 24x7 TV channel. The service provides added value to the service providers and doesn’t require new set-top boxes.
TellyTopia first partnered with Tubemogul in December of last year. The partnership allows Web producers to submit their videos to Internet sites and TVs in one step, as well as monitor the viewership of the videos through Tubemogul’s upload and Web analytics.
“Crossing the 50,000 high-resolution, high-quality video threshold, TellyTopia reaffirms i2TV’s position as the leading Internet-to-television service,” said Kshitij Kumar, TellyTopia’s founder and CEO. “Videos range from vignettes with national interest to sports shows created by videophiles in schools and communities across the United States.”
In April, SureWest Communications launched a service in Sacramento, Calif. using the interactive video content network created by TellyTopia.
