IP Gallery has hired former Cedar Point executive David Spear as its executive vice president. Spear will be responsible for strategic direction, marketing, sales and overall growth for North America for the company, which was formed in Israel.

Spear had been Cedar Point Communications’ founding CEO; he most recently served with Cedar Point as executive vice president of strategy and market development. Prior to that, he worked at AT&T/Lucent Technologies.

“[Spear] has had a tremendous telecommunications career with a demonstrated track record for successfully launching and growing new market segments,” said Avihai Degani, president and CEO of IP Gallery. “[Spear’s] extensive background in creating, positioning and selling solutions that meet the cable and service provider market needs was a perfect fit for us as we reposition and tailor IP Gallery’s unique set of feature-rich converged communications solutions and advanced multimedia applications for North America.”

IP Gallery provides pre-IMS VoIP, IMS core network solutions and advanced multimedia applications for cable, fixed-line, mobile and quadruple-play service providers.
