The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is looking for nominations for its annual SCTE Safety Awards. The awards identify and recognize industry companies that achieved outstanding levels of safety during 2008.
These 2008 awards will be presented to regions or divisions of the larger MSOs along with smaller cable companies and contractors.
Eligibility criteria for the SCTE Safety Awards have changed for this year’s nominees in that nominations must be submitted by one safety representative per MSO or company and reflect the information on the division, region, or company’s OSHA 300A Summary.
The nomination period will run through July 31, 2009.
Winners of the SCTE Safety Awards, comprising both Gold and Silver Awards, will be recognized in a variety of ways, including being listed in the awards program booklet for the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2009 Annual Awards Luncheon. Expo will take place Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 28–30 in Denver, with the luncheon set for that Wednesday.
Complete SCTE Safety Awards details and the online awards application are available in the Member Services/Awards section of the Society’s website here.
