Ubee Interactive, formerly known as Ambit Broadband, has been showcasing its EuroDOCSIS-certified DOCSIS 3.0 products at this week’s Anga cable show in Cologne, Germany.
Ubee has also shown its "U-Gateway" convergence platform, which allows operators to support digital voice, IPTV and DVB-C, all through a single home gateway.
"Given the comprehensive testing performed as part of the EuroDOCSIS process, achieving certification on the first round is especially gratifying, "said Morad Sbahi, Ubee's vice president of marketing and business development for EMEA. “It demonstrates our commitment to be a market leader who stands poised to meet the rapidly evolving needs of the marketplace."
Ubee's Model EDM3500 DOCSIS 3.0 data modem was officially awarded certification as part of EuroCertWave 34, which was completed in March.
The EDM3500 data modem, which has eight downstream channels and four upstream channels, can deliver up to 400 Mbps downstream and 120 Mbps upstream. Leveraging the same 8 x 4 functionality, the Model EVM3200 two-line EMTA was also awarded certification for EuroCertWave 34.
