Sunrise Telecom introduced a new module for its test platform that allows DSL service providers to test the triple play of services on their networks.
Sunrise’s UDSL-3Play module works with its Modular Test Toolkit (MTT) platform. When combined with the MTT Advanced Cable Maintenance (ACM II) chassis, the UDSL-3Play module provides a complete test solution for DSL-based triple-play services, Sunrise said.
Key features include both customer premises and central office DSL modem emulation and IP data connectivity and throughput tests to determine Internet access and overall quality of experience (QoE).
In addition, the test module can measure QoE for IP video by emulating a set-top box, and for VoIP by emulating an IP Phone, Sunrise said.
The UDSL-3Play module provides testing capabilities for ADSL-, ADSL2-, ADSL2+- and VDSL2-based access networks. The module is immediately available.
