Sunrise upgrades modem network analyzer
By Brian Santo

Sunrise Telecom developed a new generation of its cable modem network analyzer.

The new version of the company’s CM2000 includes simple network management protocol (SNMP) and Telnet testing, integrated file transfer protocol (FTP) and new options for a CAD viewer and signature capture.

These new tools are combined with Internet Explorer, a combination previously available only when earlier versions of the tester were used with an adjunct laptop. The FTP client lets files be moved between the CM2000 and a central server without a computer. A new Wi-Fi adapter option is also available.
