Bresnan Communications said that Steve Brookstein, who joined Bresnan in 2003 as executive vice president of operations, will now take on the additional role of chief operating officer.
In 2008, Brookstein was honored with a Vanguard Award for Cable Operations Management, and he was recently inducted into the 2009 class of Cable Pioneers.
Prior to joining Bresnan, Brookstein held a senior executive management post with Diva, a video-on-demand solutions provider, and served as general manager of @Home’s residential business unit.
Before that, Brookstein spent nine years with Comcast Cable, where he started out as senior vice president of marketing and later served as regional senior vice president for Comcast’s East/West Region.
Brookstein jumpstarted his cable career in the early ‘80s at HBO, where he managed the team that developed and launched Cinemax.
Brookstein will continue to report to Bresnan President Jeff DeMond.
