JDSU has appointed Dave Holly to president of its Communications Test and Measurement segment, succeeding Tom Waechter, who was named as the company’s president and CEO earlier this year.
Holly has been serving as interim leader of the test and measurement business since Jan. 1 and will be responsible for global sales, product development and operations. He will report directly to Waechter.
"We are confident Dave Holly is the ideal person for the job, and during his 17-year tenure, he has already contributed in countless ways to the success of the company in general, and the communications test and measurement business in particular," said Waechter.
Prior to joining JDSU, Holly had managerial sales responsibilities at Nynex (now part of Verizon) and began his career in engineering at IBM.
"It is an honor to lead this exceptional team, and my top priorities are to continue expanding JDSU's market leadership and to carry on the established tradition of designing valuable, innovative test and service assurance products used by service providers and network equipment manufacturers worldwide," said Holly.
