Integrated Broadband Services (IBBS) – which provides mission-critical operations support system (OSS) software and services to more than 200 tier-2 cable operators worldwide – is providing fully integrated diagnostics and network management services for Choice Cable TV of Puerto Rico.

IBBS is giving Choice a full-service solution for its high-speed Internet offering to address and resolve customer issues; reduce truck rolls, call handle time and mean time to repair (MTTR); and drive higher levels of organizational performance. Choice Cable TV will use IBBS’ Broadband Explorer (BBX), the company’s diagnostics and provisioning software.

“We chose IBBS because the company is recognized for its unique expertise and understanding of the tier-2 cable marketplace, which is critical to the continued growth and success of our products,” said Rob Roeder, vice president of network services for Choice Cable TV.

Last week, IBBS and SinglePipe Communications – a managed service provider of wholesale digital voice solutions – introduced an integrated back office solution for voice, video and data for cable operators.

The offering combines IBBS’ BBX with SinglePipe’s Integrated Provisioning System platform (SIPS) for digital voice.

IBBS CEO Dave Keil said: “IBBS is exceptionally customer focused, and our partnership with SinglePipe is a natural extension of this vision. This integration will provide tier-2 cable operators with the means to provide customers with the highest level of service, without unnecessary cost and back-end complexity.”

Also last week, IBBS debuted version 4.6 of its BBX software at The Cable Show in Washington, D.C. The new version features advanced bandwidth, usage, billing and capacity management functionality.

Keil told CED that this year, IBBS is focusing on three areas of products and services: 1) bandwidth management; 2) video diagnostics capabilities (to come later this year); and 3) commercial services capabilities (also to come this year).
